The Music Matters community is a group of music enthusiasts who come together to bring positive change to those in our local and global communities. Our latest mission is to loan $5,000.00 to worthy entrepreneurs across the globe. We have created a community page on www.kiva.org where members who join the group can lend money to farmers in Kenya, weavers in the India, or general store owners in Tanzania. The great thing is that these are loans, not gifts, so when we get paid back, we can then invest this money into another business.
Kiva's mission is to connect people, through lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty.
Kiva empowers individuals to lend to an entrepreneur across the globe. By combining microfinance with the internet, Kiva is creating a global community of people connected through lending.
