Music Matters School of Music, located at 24 N Washington Batavia, IL, is the premiere music school in the Fox Valley. We encourage our students to explore all areas of music. We offer piano lessons, drum and percussion lessons, guitar lessons, voice lessons, Ukulele lessons, and bass lessons.

We have 30 music teachers all with either college training or professional performance experience. 7.  Red Carpet Recitals
Our famous Red Carpet Recitals will leave you feeling like you are a professional musician.

Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital.

In May and December many of our students choose to perform in our biannual recitals. We even provide a red carpet and step and repeat banner to make it fun!

8.  In Person or Online Private Lessons
Private lessons ensure that the student has the undivided attention of the teacher and can progress at a level suited to them individually. We have made it easy to have your lesson either in person at our school or online, whatever works best with your needs.

The school has a large parking lot for our students to utilize.  No worries about finding street parking. Parents can relax and enjoy our comfortable lounges, children’s play area, and clean bathrooms.

10.  Full Time Office Staff to Answer any questions

Many music school desks are staffed by the teacher/owner or more commonly voicemail. Our office team members are available at the front desk to assist our clients quickly and professionally.

12.  Picture Day
We are the only music school in the Fox Valley that offers a picture day for their students. Every Spring and Fall we host a free picture day with professional photographer. This is a service that our student's parents love as they all want quality photos of their children. Adults are welcome too! Students can bring their instruments to the photo shoot and wear whatever they like.

13.  Month to Month Lessons

Music Matters does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis.

14.  Music Matters in the Community

We love being a part of our community.  Since we opened this has been a conscious choice to help those in need.  We have raised money for local and international charities that have a direct impact on peoples lives.  Some of the groups we have helped include Chip In Batavia, Access to Music, Save Darfur, and the Fox Valley Blues Society.
